Introduction to clothing technology

Today I will share with you some common clothing techniques, most of which have been accumulated and used over the years. Clothing craftsmanship is an important part of clothing design. Otherwise, no matter how good you design, it will be a failure in the end. Generally, schools have little contact with these, and they are gradually accumulated in the later work, which is very suitable for friends who study clothing design.

Printing Process
1. Silicone printing (can be screen printing, transfer printing or digital printing. The main difference is that it has a three-dimensional sense of different thicknesses and a silicone material feel, and can be printed with a variety of effects.)
2. Thick plate printing (using thick version paste, strong three-dimensional effect. On the basis of offset printing, it is thicker, has good three-dimensional effect, and has high process requirements. It is often used in casual sportswear, and can be used for heat transfer transfer.)
3. Foaming printing (foamed glue is divided into suede and smooth foaming, in short, the surface of the fabric is protruded, which increases the three-dimensional feeling.)
4. Luminous printing (adding special light-storing materials and additives, it can glow at night, and it can also be used for heat transfer transfer. Especially in trendy brands and children’s clothing.)
5. Glitter printing (add fine glitter to the glue, stir well, there are various colors, or one color glitter.)
6. Ink printing (commonly used in sportswear, such as smooth fabrics, it is not easy to fall off, other glues are not.)
7. Concave and convex printing (by chemically treating the part of the fabric to produce concave and convex text or patterns on the surface of the fabric, it is often used in T-shirts.)
8. Stone pulp (also called pull pulp, it is more suitable for printing with larger texture, so that the texture can be seen, and it is often used in tide brand design.)
9. Flocking (can be screen or transfer printing. Generally, I use screen more, it is a way to print short fiber fluff on the surface of the fabric, the fluff will stick to it, and then it will be reinforced at high temperature. Often used in autumn and winter, such as sweaters, etc.)
10. Hot stamping and silvering (it is a method of transferring gold and silver material paper to the printing surface by using the principle of hot pressure transfer. It is generally composed of multiple layers. For example, the pattern process commonly used by the Boy london brand.)
11, three-dimensional metal printing (metallic luster has a sense of atmosphere, fashion, simple and clear, but also fashionable.)
12, Reflective printing (special reflective materials are added, and the pattern is reflective. Suitable for making clothing of various fibers. For example, reflective vests on construction sites.)
