How to choose a down jacket?

A down jacket has three indicators: filling, down content, down filling.
As a major country in down production, China has taken over 80% of the world's down production. In addition, our China Down Garment Industry Association is also one of the members of the presidium of the International Down and Feather Bureau IDFB.

Down jacket factories in China buy down by grades. The price difference between different grades is very large. The quality of cheap duck down is very poor, and the duo capacity is very small.

The quality of the down jacket is exactly the quality of the filling. Only when the filling is qualified, the down-filling amount is meaningful. The amount of down filling is an important indicator to measure whether the down jacket can keep warm. In the case of the same area and the same capacity, the higher the amount of down filling, the warmer it will be. Different sizes of the same down jacket have different down filling amounts due to different sizes. According to international regulations, the deviation between the actual filling amount of down jackets and the filling amount marked on the tag is not less than -5%, and the label cannot be arbitrarily marked. International regulations stipulate that down jackets sold by merchants must be marked with fillers on the hang tag and washing water label, and the filling capacity contains down. However, the international national standard does not require the fluffy degree to be indicated, so how do we judge the fluffy degree? A down jacket is laid flat on the table, and you can press it hard to squeeze out the air inside. After you release your hand, you can see how quickly it rebounds. The faster the rebound, the better the bulkiness. If the rebound is very slow or there is basically no rebound, it means that it is not fluffy enough and not full enough.

This picture is very intuitive to mark the improvement of the thermal insulation effect of different bulkiness. The 1000-fill is better than the 550-fill. The higher the bulk, the better the thermal insulation effect of the down. The thermal insulation effect of goose down is better than that of duck down, but the price is also more expensive. The more fluffy the down jacket is, the warmer it is, the more expensive the down jacket is. The down jacket content in general should be more than 70%, the better one should be 80%, and the better one should be. It accounts for 90%, and the better can reach 95%. Down jackets with 100% down content do not exist. If there is a garment factory that claims that it is 100% of the down jacket, it is a fake.

Finally, for the down jacket's down jacket problem, regular garment factories will have this anti-drill down industrial anti-drill down liner, and even use anti-drill down needles and threads. You can look at the size of the needle eye of the suture. If you see an obvious needle eye, the velvet inside will slowly run out from the needle eye position. You can also rub the down jacket with your hands to see if there is any down.
